Sad News Folks

DFC Racing

I just got some terrible news from Rory Reed and he wanted to make sure I passed it on. Robert Wile, the driver of the Pure Stock #49 car, passed away Wednesday morning 1/25/06 at the age of 40. I've spent many nights with Robert on the ramp at WCS watching the action and I enjoyed watching him on the track also. This is a great loss to the local racing community, as he was one of the "good guys" out there each week. Calling hours are Friday 1/27/06 from 7-9 P.M. at Mcintire Davis & Green funeral home in Wooster. The funeral is Saturday 1/28/06 at 11:00 A.M. at the same location. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wile family. That shit eatin' grin of his will certainly be missed in the pits, and the ramp will seem a bit different from now on. Rest in peace my friend!

Just after adding the information above, I got even more bad news about another fellow racer. Dave McMillen, driver of the #17 Pure Stock lost his mother to cancer Tuesday night. His parents are a huge part of his racing program and could always be found wherever the racing action was. Our thoughts and prayers are with the McMillen family as well. They're a good bunch of folks.
