No racing but, Wheels are rolling at Hilltop Speedway.

In only two years Hilltop Speedway has progressed like no other dirt track in Ohio. Founded and staffed by people who are truly committed to the sport of dirt track racing, our goal has been a simple one. Provide other true race fans with the best and most exciting action found on dirt.To date our Super Late Model program has been spectacular to say the least, we have witnessed an explosion of top quality Modifieds on the Hill. While it would be easy to rest on our laurels we feel there is much more to be done to not only improve conditions at Hilltop Speedway, but to strengthen our sport as a whole and make Northeast Ohio stand out as a racing powerhouse.

At present we are in negotiations with surrounding race tracks to standardize a set of rules for two of our similar divisions that will make it possible for cars to compete at several race tracks thus eliminating the track specific rules that have added expense and held back the growth of Limited Late Models and Pure Stocks. With a common set of rules and a short tow between venues it is easy to understand how this can be a win situation for fans, drivers, and race promoters while making it fun and exciting to go racing again. It is our goal to bring well deserved respect to these two divisions and we promise to immediately release important information and news of special events as it becomes available. We are also implementing change to add excitement for all of our race fans, such as Delaware Starts for all non sanctioned events.

Many of you already know the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Racing Series is scheduled for an appearance at Hilltop Speedway on May 30, 2008. Returning are the OReilly All Star Circuit of Champions for two dates, one during "Speed Week", again for the wildly popular "Fall Brawl" and Hilltop Speedway is once again honored with the Independent Racing Series season opener on April 18 with a firecracker of a follow up date on July 4. Last year the MACS Racing Series brought a stellar field of cars that produced an absolute thrilling event won by David Scott and while an official date is yet to be written in ink, be assured we are working on an event to top all with the MACS professional staff.

These sanctioned events offer race fans an amazing variety featuring the best of the best, but we already know the weekly competition at Hilltop Speedway has what it takes to compete with the best. You will see several "local" special events with increased payouts for every division in 2008, including the 3rd Annual Jack Norris Memorial where a few drivers can expect a little extra cold hard cash as an incentive to race Hilltop.

It is going to be an extremely exciting year at Hilltop Speedway and many of you already know of our plans to include a Limited Late Model class to our lineup which leads me to make this groundbreaking announcement. Our 2008 Racing Schedule consists of a Friday night line up featuring Super Late Models, Modifieds, and Pure Stocks, while a Saturday night program has been added featuring Limited Late Models, Mini Stocks, Mini Trucks, and several special guests throughout the year to create the ultimate in dirt track racing entertainment. This format will allow us to offer race fans three top divisions and a fast paced Friday night show while building tomorrows stars with rough and tumble excitement on Saturday, two nights of racing at a very affordable price for competitors and fans.

At this time it is impossible for me to go into great detail but all the pieces are quickly falling into place and we promise you in 2008 you will experience dirt track racing like never seen before. Not just at Hilltop Speedway, not just in Northeast Ohio, but anywhere in the U.S.A.
