DFC Racing - Awesome Run,Bad Finish

We waited all year to return to Lakeville for the Dirt Blowout and looked forward to another great run there.Well,we got the great run but weren't able to turn it into a great finish in the 40 lap feature.Things started out well enough when Richie lined up 5th in the heat race and managed a 4th place finish against the strongest competition there including Bob Daugherty,Roger Drouard,Rory Reed,and the list goes on.It was nice to run with the "big dogs" and look good doing it.We lined up 10th for the feature and things got off to a bumpy start but soon Richie was picking up spots and moving to the front.Then our typical luck caught up with us and the top radiator hose blew off to put an early end to our fun.Damn,Damn,Damn!!! It was clear that we had a top 5,and probably a top 3 run going but it wasn't meant to be.Maybe one night we'll be able to put it all together and get the finish that matches the kind of run we had.I guess we'll have to wait and see what next year brings.This officially ends our racing season so all we need to do now is get the car ready for winter storage and make our plans for next season.At least we don't need to totally rebuild the car this this year and that will be a big change for us.To all of our sponsors,fans,and supporters out there,THANKS FOLKS!! BTW: I just finished posting a few new pics in the gallery for this season including some rare shots of yours truly behind the wheel of ol' #9.Now that's a pretty sight! :-)
