Happy Mother's Day
Posted on Sunday, May 09 @ 09:27:07 MST by Bob

DFC Racing Thanks to Mother Nature for letting us get back to racing last night. Thanks to my own mother for teaching me that if I don't have anything nice to say, I shouldn't say anything at all. Because of that, I won't be writing much here today about our experience in the feature race last night. All I will say is that certain ASSHOLES need to learn they can't win the race in the first turn of the first lap, and that the new "drive through 'em" rule at WCS SUCKS!! Oops,,sorry Mom,,,I'll shut up now. Now for the good stuff before the shoving began. It was nice to see Ken Cunningham from K-RaCe Photos stop by and see us early in the night. THANKS for the great pics Ken. Things looked pretty good in hot laps and Richie drew the pole for the heat race. Looking through the lineup we knew it would be a tough job to make the feature from the heat, but we were in for a pleasant surprise. The car was handling great and Richie had his head on straight enough to pull of a 3rd place finish as he was closing in on the second place car of Mitch Lam. Speaking of Mitch, congrats on your feature win last night. You earned that one!!! Things didn't go so well for some of our other buddies last night either as Denny Shear loaded his bent up #45 after the heat race and Dave McMillen had an awesome heat race run ruined by a broken tranny. Both of these guys have had their share of problems this year but have shown that they are capable of some great runs. After our heat race run last night it sure looked like we were ready to make a strong run at the rest of the season too but all that changed in turn 1 on the first lap of the feature. As we loaded the wreckage from the infield, it was clear that we have our work cut out for us to get Ol' #9 back to where it was before the disaster. Did I mention that some folks out there need to get their heads out of their asses??? Oh,, sorry Mom. Happy Mother's Day!!!!
