An act of heroism quickly turned into a terrible tragedy and has taken the life of a former local racer. Roger Rush Jr. was a member of the Rush Racing family that often dominated the Mini Stock division at Lakeville Speedway. This 44 year old father of 9 didn't hesitate for even a second to help a woman that he saw get hit by a car on an icy road. Another driver stopped to help also and Roger moved her to a safer place and even gave her his reflective coat for her safety.
