An act of heroism quickly turned into a terrible tragedy and has taken the life of a former local racer. Roger Rush Jr. was a member of the Rush Racing family that often dominated the Mini Stock division at Lakeville Speedway. This 44 year old father of 9 didn't hesitate for even a second to help a woman that he saw get hit by a car on an icy road. Another driver stopped to help also and Roger moved her to a safer place and even gave her his reflective coat for her safety. Seconds later another car slid into the accident scene and Roger was trapped under that car, killing him. The complete story can be read by clicking here.
