Last night was the annual awards banquet for WCS and Richie brought home two new trophies for the collection. Not only did he pick up one for finishing 8th in the points this season but he also got one that means alot to him and the rest of us at DFC Racing. He was awarded "Most Improved Driver Of The Year". We've gotten many comments from other teams, even in other classes about the improvements our team has seen this past season and this award is the icing on the cake. I feel he has earned this award by not only improving his driving style but continuing to race everybody out there clean. At times he may be too damn clean but I'm sure the competition doesn't mind. Right Dave? ;-) Anyway, congrats Richie! Now there's only one other trophie I want to see him bring home and that would be Season Champion. We may have to wait in line for that one and if it should happen, it would only happen once. I'd get no pleasure at all from repeating in our class so it would be time to move on to something else. Our fans and sponsors would expect nothing less. Speaking of fans and sponsors, none of this would have been possible without your support. THANKS folks! You're all truly appreciated and we welcome you to share these awards with us. You can feel proud to be part of a team that plays by the rules and still does "alright". We wouldn't have it any other way. As we begin to prepare for next season we're already looking to line up our sponsors for 2004. Remember, there will also be a late model in the DFC Racing team next year and this is your chance to get coverage in two classes at once.
