I didn't think you were smart enough ( or tall enough to reach the keyboard ) to write an article like this that made such sense !!! ha ha
I actually respect the track if they hold true and at least give it a shot without the cheaters there. Good Job Hilltop !

I can't believe that I'm the only one seeing the post from Hilltop on page one of that thread. Maybe people aren't seeing what they "want" to see, but the information is plain as day. See if ya can spot it and maybe point it out to the others if ya get a chance.

The Rule Change Petitions are being reviewed because a few good points have been made and those are under consideration but for the most part there will not be any major changes to any class.

Safety is our first consideration and we will continue to align our rules with those in the Mid Ohio Valley, including Midway, Muskingum, and Cannonball. Tech inspection is a big area of concern. We want our team of inspectors to be able to quickly view three areas, pass the cars, and move on. Engine location, stock firewall, and rear suspension remains as stated.

I think the cheaters are trying to hold on to the last strand of hope they think they might have.

I suppose that's to be expected since they've always gotten whatever they wanted by crying about it in the past.

Hell, I'm thinking that since late model tires don't cost that much and they're wider (safer) all Pure Stocks should have those too. Come to think of it, quick changes just have to be more affordable and safer than those old 9" Fords. Just think how safe a professionally built chassis could be. I mean, wouldn't it be better to run a Rocket or something, instead of a nasty old "car frame"? I also think that it would be safer to have the engine in the cockpit so that the driver could keep an eye out for potentially hazardous leaks and stuff too. Now with all this extra speed, you'll simply have to have side boards ans 6 foot spoilers, right?? Jesus H Christ on a fuggin' pogo-stick, people. Enough is enough!!

You just might be onto something there dirtman! I'd sure hate to see any track give up on the Pure Stocks but if it was to ever happen it sure as hell couldn't be blamed on the tracks alone.
